Mallorca Workshop: Beyond the Beaches
We’re heading back to Mallorca for a two-day photography workshop on March 4-5, 2025! This time, we’re trading beach umbrellas for mountain vistas and swapping tourist crowds for hidden coastal gems.
Taylor Jackson and Cole Roberts will lead a small group of 8 photographers through Mallorca’s diverse landscapes. Cole knows the island’s hidden gems from hosting 6 previous workshops here. Taylor brings his expertise in hybrid shooting, perfect for those looking to blend photo and video skills.

What’s Planned
Over two full days, from dawn to dusk, you’ll be immersed in Mallorca’s diverse landscapes, photographing two couples in wedding attire. Taylor will guide you through blending photo and video techniques, drawing from his popular YouTube channel and hybrid shooting expertise.
Meanwhile, Cole, co-founder of Way Up North and Fujifilm X-Photographer, will share invaluable insights on the business side – from pricing and workflows to growth strategies. It’s a comprehensive approach designed to enhance both your creative skills and business acumen.

Hosts
Taylor and Cole are no strangers to working together in wild places. They’ve led photographers through the otherworldly landscapes of Iceland, and their paths have crossed numerous times at Way Up North events.
Their different approaches – Taylor’s hybrid shooting expertise and Cole’s knack for business strategy – create a well-rounded experience for workshop guests. Whether they’re battling Icelandic winds or navigating Mallorcan mountain roads, these two have a knack for turning challenging situations into learning opportunities. And let’s be honest, their banter alone is worth the price of admission.

The Canadian who can’t decide between photos and videos, so he does both. When he’s not convincing 591k+ YouTube subscribers that hybrid shooting is the future, he’s out proving it at weddings. His book “Wedding Photography: After 1000 Weddings” is basically his diary, minus the embarrassing bits.
Cole Roberts
Gävle, Sweden
Cole is the co-founder of Way Up North, Kolla, Nordica and has been a Fujifilm X-Photographer since 2016. His passion for photography is matched only by his love for the great outdoors and country music.

What’s Included
Two full days of shooting, instruction, and on-site transportation. You’ll work with two couples in wedding attire, getting hands-on experience in various locations.
What’s Not
You’ll need to sort out your own accommodation, flights, airport transfers, meals, and travel insurance.
Where to Stay
We recommend Brick Palma or somewhere nearby. Feel free to choose your own spot, though. Once the workshop fills up, we’ll connect everyone so you can coordinate room sharing if you’d like to save on costs.
