Roadie

/ˈrəʊdi/ informal noun A short road trip generally done on country roads and in less populated areas.

WITH HOSTS MARK PACURA AND NORDICA

Mark is a wedding photographer based out of Glasgow (site). He is also the founder of Wooden Banana. Cole is a wedding photographer based in Gävle, Sweden. He is the co-founder of Nordica, Way Up North, and Kolla.

WORKSHOP FORMAT

This is an adventurous approach to building a photography portfolio.

Two couples will be photographed in wedding attire. On each day, there’s a morning session and an afternoon session with each couple so a total of four separate sessions.

During the photography sessions, you will be broken into smaller groups to ensure everyone has time to photograph the couples. Roadie is not an elbow swinging battle to get the shot! Cool, calm, chill is the vibe we’re after, hence small groups.

In between sessions around lunchtime, we’ll brainstorm your businesses and portfolios as a group.

COST

€950 + VAT. The workshop size is 8 people maximum, plus the couples we photograph.

WHEN

August 31st to September 3rd. You need to be in Reykjavik city centre on August 31st by 17:00 as we travel together from there to a secluded part of Iceland. The workshop is on the 1st and 2nd, concluding in the evening on the 2nd. No plans are set for the 3rd.

WHERE

Around Snæfellsnes and Reykjavik is the easiest answer.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Accommodations are not included, but we will be staying at the same place on August 31st and September 1st. We explain how this all works with the workshop guests once they sign on.

TRANSPORTATION

From 17:00 on August 31st through to the workshop conclusion on September 3rd, all transportation is included. On the 31st when landing in Keflavik, we will offer rides to people from the airport if our flights land around the same time.

Workshop Reviews

Mark and Cole have hosted this workshop 4 times in Iceland twice in the Dolomites. Each experience has taught shown that the strength of the workshop stems from the mix of people who join the adventure, and the relationships that flow afterwards.
