Northern Soul is a Lofoten photography workshop co-hosted by two quite different players from the Scandinavian wedding industry, Sisters In Law and Nordica. Zanna Metzer is the founder of Sisters in Law, Scandinavia’s largest wedding blog and magazine. Cole Roberts from Nordica is a wedding photographer based in Sweden and the co-founder of Nordica, Way Up North, and Kolla. Last April the two hosted Northern Soul in Lofoten for the first time and after a resounding success, they’re giving it another go next September.
This English-language workshop is perfectly suited for an adventurous soul seeking an experience in the jewel of the Arctic, Lofoten. The emphases of this workshop is to photograph a lot, and do so in a small group size.
If you are keen to build your portfolio, learn more about marketing from two professionals with a lot of experience, and do so in one of the most incredible scenic backdrops on earth, this workshop is for you.
Photography is the core of this workshop, and there will be two sessions on each day with two couples. Couple one will be photographed at sunrise and sunset on day one. September 17th and 18th. You need to be in Leknes by September 16th as we begin the workshop at first light on the 17th. The workshop concludes the evening of the 18th and there are no plans on the 19th.
The entire group will be staying together, so accommodations on the 16th, 17th, and 18th are included. Breakfast, lunch and dinners are included. Pickup and drop-off from Leknes airport is included, as well as transportation on the days of the workshop in and around Lofoten.
We will be staying near Leknes. The easiest way to get there is to book a flight to Bodø (BOO) and look into flights from there to Leknes (LKN). We recommend Widerøe for this. Alternatively, Svolvær (SVJ) is an option but keep in mind it’s about an hour north of Leknes.
Bookings can be made via the form below. Once the form is filled out, we will email you an invoice. Once the invoice is paid, your spot is confirmed. Split payments are welcome if you’d like to book 50% up front, 50% prior to the workshops. Spots are first come, first serve.
We’ll need two couples for the workshop. If you’re interested, email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we’ll walk you through the details.
