Modern Bohemian Wedding in Tuscany – Emilia + John

Modern Bohemian Wedding in Tuscany

Modern Bohemian Wedding in Tuscany

With the 2019 edition of the WUN Awards now open for submissions, we felt it was a great time to check in with one of the previous winners.

Today’s modern bohemian wedding in Tuscany is by the winner of Europe’s Best Wedding Photographer 2018, Karin Lundin. Karin is a familiar face to the Swedish community, and also presented at WUN in Stockholm this past October.

We adore Karin’s style, and encourage you to check out more of her amazing work after you browse through this stunner from Tuscany. Enjoy!

The Team

The planner for Emilia and John’s wedding was Linda Jostler. Emilia’s dress is by Rue De Seine, and florals were provided by Flowers Living. Their wedding was in September 2019.

This wedding took place at a vineyard located outside the small old Italian village Montepulciano, in Tuscany.

It was a destination wedding where the couple and guests came from Sweden, and for many, it was their first time in Tuscany. Both the wedding ceremony and dinner were held outdoors, surrounded by the olive trees.

The Perfect Setting

When I saw the setting for the dinner, my jaw dropped. Everything was so beautifully planned. At that moment, I felt like this is going to be a hell of a wedding and it was!

I knew that the light during the day would be the most challenging for me because it’s so harsh. And this was a Swedish wedding, which means that the ceremony would start quite early, and it would also be located in direct sunlight. But somehow, God heard my prayers, the singer was accidentally late, and the ceremony had to start one hour later!

Timely Portraits

Before I went to the wedding, I did as you do and Googled other weddings in Tuscany to see what I had to expect. All I saw was this beautiful sunset over and over. I knew that I couldn’t miss taking some portraits in the sunset.

Due to the delay with the ceremony, I almost missed it, but I grabbed the couple in the middle of the first course and ran to the sun, and 5 minutes later it was gone. But I got it!
