Way Up North Prague
It’s time for the long-awaited event in Prague! We’ve been eagerly anticipating it since our last gathering in Vienna, and we’re thrilled to be coming together again this spring.
The theme for the event in Prague is “HERE TO THERE,” and each presenter will offer their own interpretation of it. Through their presentations, we’ll gain insights into how they’re pushing forward as both business owners and artists.
Mark your calendars for May and get ready for an amazing show! Take a look at the schedule below and start thinking about which presenter you’re most excited to see.
May 8th
16:00 – 18:00 | Canon Styled Shoot
Canon has some exciting surprises planned for the upcoming styled shoots. We will share more information about them shortly. However, here are a few tips to get you started:
There will be limited spots available, and participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Although it is free to participate, you must register beforehand. To register, keep an eye on your newsletter, which you should already be receiving if you have a ticket to the event.
We will first notify you of the sign-up date through the newsletter, and then we will send a follow-up email once registration is open. So, make sure to stay tuned to your inbox!
Note: This event is complimentary, but you must be on the guest list to attend.
18:00 – 20:00 | Welcome Gathering | Mama Shelter (Veletržní 1502/20)
Hit up Mama Shelter’s patio! To find the patio, go through the entrance and look to your right. Our crew will be waiting for you there. It’s the only patio at Mama Shelter so we hope easy for everyone to locate.
When you arrive, there’s no need to print or bring a physical ticket. Find our team and show them any form of identification with your name on it. They’ll then provide you with your event badge. This badge is required for entry into the Bio Oko theatre.
If you’re unable to attend on May 8th, don’t worry. We’ll also be available at Bio Oko, so you can pick up your badge then. Of course, we’d love to see everyone at the welcome gathering if you’re able to make it, but if not, no need to stress.
20:00 – 21:00 | Talkin’ Shop with Pic-Time | Mama Shelter (Veletržní 1502/20)
Hey there, Pic-Time users! After registration at Mamma Shelter, let’s all get together for some chats. We’ll pick a cozy corner in the lobby, grab some drinks (fingers crossed for some freebies), and just chill. Pic-Time founders are traveling to Prague and would like to get some feedback from YOU! They want to know what you love, and what you wish for and hear about your business. This gathering is exclusively for Pic-Time users, so let’s take advantage of the opportunity to connect and share our experiences.

We are pleased to extend an invitation from Pic-Time to join us at their upcoming storytelling evening.
Here’s what you need to know:
Choose an image with a captivating story that evokes emotion – be it humour, melancholy or surprise. Remember, the quality of the image is secondary to the power of the story.
On the evening of the event, we will call your name, display your chosen image on the screen, and give you 2-5 minutes to regale us with the story behind it. The ambiance will be relaxed and convivial, perfect for an engaging and memorable evening.
We are eager to hear your personal perspective and voice, and anticipate an unforgettable evening of shared storytelling. So, let us join hands and embrace the power of the image and the story it tells.

I’ll explain how improv comedy and clowning techniques can help photographers be present and more pleasant. By forgetting you’re operating a camera, you can focus on contributing to the scene around you, resulting in more authentic and memorable photos.
