I’ve never been a settler or dweller. Always moving onwards to the next thing. Seeking new ideas. Fair to say I always had the entrepreneurial itch. I jumped into the wedding photography world over 10 years, starting successful photography brands in NZ and Europe, opening cafes and building tools to help other wedding photographers do the same. I love how the wedding industry morphs and shifts and am particularly interested in how different trends and looks come and go. Always on the search for something true and timeless. Weddings always run this tension of being of a moment, but speaking to something that transcends - that’s love. I am currently focussed on my wedding photography business Haute Weddings, where we mix a classic documentary approach while riding the current editorial wave. I also run Lensel, an email newsletter and blog specifically for the wedding photographer world. It dives deep into photography trends and news with in-depth reviews and insight. Written with a quirky, intentionally offbeat tone, Lensel aims to break up the often dry online photography space and curate an online home where wedding photographers can find inspiration, connection and community in a way that pushes the industry forward.
