Over two days, you’ll photograph a total of three couples in wedding attire, filling your portfolio with the essence of Italy and capturing moments that tell stories. While Florence boasts Renaissance art, Umbria is known for its lush verdant valleys where we will dive into a more genuine and profound beauty. From small medieval hilltop towns to olive groves, we’ll uncover the heart of Italy, where every shot captures a piece of history, culture, and the passion of its people.

When + Where
Join us for a unique photography experience on October 14th and 15th. Arrive in Florence by October 13th. October 14th will kick off with a sunrise shoot in Florence, then head to Umbria for an afternoon and sunset shoot. On October 15th, we’ll have another sunrise session in Umbria before returning to Florence.
Accommodation: Stay in Florence for two nights, and one night in Umbria. We’ll provide accommodation recommendations once you’re booked.
Transportation: All travel between Florence and Umbria is on us.
Format & Locations
This workshop is for photographers keen to expand their portfolios and food lovers interested in capturing the olive harvest in Umbria. Here’s what’s on offer:
Day 1, October 14th: Sunrise session in Florence with Couple One. Then, we move to Umbria to stay at Casale San Cristoforo, an artisanal, family-run agricultural business, for a sunset shoot with Couple Two.
Day 2, October 15th: Early morning shoot with Couple Two at the estate, followed by documenting the olive harvest by the family at Casale San Cristoforo. We then return to Florence for a sunset session with Couple Three.
Hosts
Cole Roberts
Cole, co-founder of Way Up North, Hop Farm Beach, Nordica, has been a Fujifilm X-Photographer since 2016. He lives in Gävle, Sweden, where he enjoys his cabin life, chopping wood and tuning into country music.

Included / Not-included
Included: Transportation during the workshop days.
Not Included: Accommodations and your travel to Florence. We’ll suggest where to stay, but you can choose elsewhere if you prefer. We’ll also set up a WhatsApp group for coordination.
Couples & Group Size
We need three couples for this event:
- Couple One: For the Florence sunrise.
- Couple Two: For both sunset and sunrise in Umbria.
- Couple Three: For the Florence sunset.
The workshop group size is 6 people, plus the couples who we photograph.
