On October 16th, unleash your creativity at Muralla Roja, an iconic architectural wonder in Calp, Spain, and a paradise for photographers. This is a rare opportunity: it’s not possible to just go and shoot there if you don’t have a permit (in particular for wedding photography), so this chance doesn’t present itself often.
For one day only, we’ve cleared the administrative hurdles to bring you a workshop in this extraordinary building. “Clearing the hurdles” is another way of saying that shooting at this iconic location is more challenging than it seems – but now that obstacle is overcome, and we’re ready to get started.
Hosted by Cole Roberts, with a few surprise guest hosts to be announced later, this one-day wedding photography workshop will elevate your portfolio and leave you amazed by what can be achieved in just one day, in this surreal location.

When, Where, What
October 16th, 2024 at Muralla Roja in Calp, Spain
Spend the day exploring the wonders of Muralla Roja, capturing stunning images with a couple in wedding attire. We’ll be on-site from morning to afternoon, working together as a team to create an abundance of photographs for your portfolio. Also, when our time at Muralla Roja concludes, we will go to the beaches of Calp for a sunset session.
Please note that it is not possible to simply show up and shoot at Muralla Roja without a permit, especially for wedding photography.
Format & Size
Limited to 10 guests, plus hosts and the photographed couple. The day will be a mix of group shots, individual portraits, and small team exercises, ensuring everyone goes home with a wealth of new images.
Host
Cole Roberts, Fujifilm X-Photographer since 2016, co-founder of Way Up North, Kolla, and Nordica. Additional surprise hosts will join the workshop, and we’ll share more details about them later.
Logistics
Guests are responsible for their own transportation to Calp, Spain. Additionally, guests are responsible for their own accommodations in Calp. We will connect the group to recommend a common hotel option. We recommend arriving on October 15th and departing on October 17th. No plans are scheduled for October 17th, so it’s a travel day.
Please note: We will not be staying at Muralla Roja. So, if your mind is wandering a bit about staying there on the 15th, please let that idea drift out of your mind and focus on a hotel in Calp.
Model Wanted
We’re seeking two couples to model for part of the day. If you’re involved in photography or filmmaking and interested in participating in the workshop, we’d love to hear from you. This is a unique opportunity to be both behind and in front of the camera – get in touch if you’re interested.
