Lanzarote Elopement Workshop
€795.00 +VAT
November 3 + 4. Two days. Two couples on a volcanic island.
Lanzarote doesn’t look like anywhere else you’d shoot. Black sand, volcanic terrain, and the architectural fingerprints of César Manrique. November brings mild temperatures, soft light, and the tourist crowd already gone.
This is the second Way Up North workshop on the island, and we’re returning for a reason: it’s insane.

When & Where
November 3rd + 4th, 2026
Volcanic landscapes, black sand beaches, and the architectural fingerprints of César Manrique. Lanzarote doesn’t look like anywhere else you’d shoot.
The island is small enough to cover efficiently. November brings mild temperatures, soft light, and the tourist crowd already gone.
This is for photographers building toward destination elopement work. Two days, two couples, locations chosen for the images that book future clients. Way Up North’s second workshop on the island.
Format & Size
November 3rd and 4th are full shooting days. Sunrise to evening light. Two couples in wedding attire, one per day. The workshop moves between volcanic terrain, coastal areas, and architectural sites across the island.
Beyond the photography itself, the workshop covers the practical side of destination work: pricing, client expectations, scouting efficiently, and delivering consistently when the location is unfamiliar to your client.
What We’re Shooting
This is an elopement photography workshop. Two real couples, one per day, in wedding attire. Not models. Real couples, comfortable in front of the camera.
The focus is couples photography in an elopement context, working with natural light and varied locations to build the kind of images that book future clients.
Host
Cole Roberts
Cole is the co-founder of Way Up North, Nordica, Hop Farm Beach and has been a Fujifilm X-Photographer since 2016. Living in Gävle, Sweden with his family, he often dreams of more time at his cabin, immersed in nature, chopping wood, and enjoying country music.
Included / Not-included
Lanzarote Airport is well-connected with affordable transfer options to most parts of the island. We won’t be coordinating airport pickups, but transport on the island is straightforward.
We recommend staying in or around Arrecife, the island’s capital and largest town, which is close to the airport and centrally located for accessing different parts of Lanzarote efficiently.
Transportation will be provided during workshop days, November 3rd and 4th, as we move between locations.
We’ll meet the evening of November 2nd to review the shooting plan and walk through the locations. November 3rd and 4th are dedicated to photography from sunrise through evening light. Full days of shooting.
Accommodation is your responsibility, and workshop fees don’t include meals or drinks. We can share recommendations for accommodations in Arrecife that balance access to locations with budget considerations.
Recommended Hotel
The group is currently booked at Hotel Lancelot. You’re welcome to stay where you choose, but most of us will be at Hotel Lancelot.
Couples in Lanzarote

The exchange: be photographed in wedding attire on your day, attend the workshop as a participant on the other. No fee.
