Pic-Time Storytelling Evening in Valencia
Never been to one of these? Here’s how it goes. We put photographs up on the big screen, one at a time, and the photographer who took each one comes up and tells us what was happening when they pressed the shutter. Some are funny. Some are not. That’s the evening.
Everyone at Way Up North is welcome to come along, and everyone is welcome to send in a photo. You don’t need to be a speaker and it doesn’t matter whether it’s your first Way Up North or your tenth. Bring a drink, sit down, listen to some good stories.

We asked you for your favourite photography quotes a while back and you sent in a pile of them. Pic-Time and Way Up North read through the lot. This is the one we kept coming back to, so we’ve made it the theme.
Pieces of You
Every Storytelling Evening so far has been open house. Bring whatever you’ve got. This one comes with a question attached: which piece of you is in the frame?
It doesn’t have to be your best work or an award winner. We’re after the frame you’ve never had a proper reason to talk about.
How It Works
Send us an image. If we pick yours, it goes up on the big screen at Teatro Talia and you come up and tell us what happened.
Funny, sentimental, irreverent, reflective. Your story, your call on what to share.
You don’t have to speak, by the way. Send the image anyway and we’ll put it up and credit you.

There’s no line-up for this evening and nothing prepared in advance. It only works if you send something in. Help us fill the screen!
