Canon / València 2026

Free, both days

Canon's service team take your bodies and lenses apart, clean them properly and hand them back. Free, both days, in the foyer at Teatro Talia.

Way Up North would not be Way Up North without Canon. Main sponsor since Rome in 2022, and they have brought Clean & Check to every show since. It is as much a part of the week as the talks are.

The service team are back, and this time they are in the theatre with us. Canon is the only sponsor set up at Teatro Talia. Everyone else is across the path at Museo L'Iber, so the bench is right where you are already walking in and out all day.

These are the same technicians and the same tools that live in Canon's Professional Service Centres. Watch them work. Ask what that mark on your front element actually is, and get an answer from someone who sees two hundred of them a month.

While your kit is on the bench, ask about Canon Professional Services. Priority support and fast turnaround on repairs, worth understanding long before the Saturday your shutter gives up.

Autumn weddings are still running and spring is not far off. Book a slot, bring your kit, say hello to the people who keep it alive.

Fifteen minutes on the bench, and the dust you have been cloning out all season is gone.

What you need to know

Where

The foyer at Teatro Talia, Carrer dels Cavallers 31. Inside the theatre, before you go through to the cinema.

When

Tuesday 13 October 08:00 – 12:30

Wednesday 14 October 08:00 – 12:30
Wednesday 14 October 13:00 – 14:30

How it runs

Pick a session and drop in any time inside it. The technicians work through the queue in order, so the quieter end of a session is the faster one.

Bring

Your badge, and the bodies and lenses you want looked at. Caps and lens cloths help. Leave the bag of filters at home.

Cost

Nothing. It comes with your ticket.

Book your slot

Four questions and you are done. Pick whichever session suits you, and we will send a confirmation with a link to change it or cancel.

One slot per person. Sign up for yourself, not for the three people in your studio.

Plans changed? Your confirmation email has a link that cancels in one click. Use it so Canon knows who to expect.

Canon only. The technicians work on Canon bodies and lenses. If you shoot something else, come and watch anyway, it is worth seeing.

Next postBooked and busy. But buried in edits.
