BTS of Boudoir with Valeria Galán

Monday 12 October · 25 seats · With The Boudoir Album

A two-hour boudoir Q&A and live demo with Valeria Galán, the afternoon before the conference kicks off. The Boudoir Album are putting it on, so it costs you nothing. Twenty-five seats, and sign-ups open on Sunday.

Boudoir is one of those genres most wedding photographers have thought about and almost nobody asks about out loud. Too many questions, and none of them the kind you want to put in a Facebook group.

So we’ve given Valeria Galán a room in Valencia and two hours to answer them. Bring the questions you’ve been sitting on.

Who It’s For

Anyone who’s curious. You might have thought about adding boudoir and have no idea where to start. You might have tried it and not made it work. You might have had a bad experience, or a client who wasn’t up for it, or a nagging feeling it doesn’t suit the way you shoot.

You might just want to sit in a room and hear how someone who does this full time actually handles it. All of that counts.

How It Works

Valeria isn’t turning up with a two-hour slide deck about what boudoir is. The whole thing runs on what people bring. Questions, doubts, awkward situations, pricing problems, the lot.

Everyone in the room is part of the conversation. One person’s question tends to be the thing three others were too shy to ask.

What to Expect

Honest, direct, practical answers. Valeria has been clear with us about where she’s coming from:

I’d rather have fewer photographers doing boudoir, but doing it well.

Valeria Galán

Nobody’s being sold anything here. She wants you to work out whether boudoir suits you, your style and how you like to work. If the answer turns out to be no, that’s a useful two hours. If it’s yes, you’ll leave with things you can put to work on Monday.

Plus a Live Demo

Alongside the questions she’ll run a small practical demonstration, because one myth deserves killing in person: you don’t need a big studio, a crew or a pile of gear to start.

She’ll show you how to do it with the skills and kit most wedding photographers already own, and how to build a service around it.

Twenty-Five Seats

That’s the cap, and it’s deliberate. Any bigger and it stops being a conversation and turns into a class with a queue for the microphone.

It’s free because The Boudoir Album are covering it. They wanted this session to happen, they’re paying for the room, and they’ve asked for nothing in return but the chance to say hello.

They make albums for boudoir photographers, which is about as close to the point of Monday afternoon as a sponsor gets. If you walk out deciding to give this a go, they’re the people who’ll print it. Have a look at what they make.

Sign-ups open on Tuesday 15 September at 20:00, Swedish time. Nothing opens early, so everyone gets the same shot at a seat.

Way Up North València ticket holders only, one seat each. There are twenty-five and a lot more of you than that coming, so don’t sit on it.

Take your seat and the page shows it to you there and then, with your reference. We email you the same thing. Come back any time and put your email in to see it again.
