WUN's second visit to Berlin takes place on April 1-2, 2025. Here's the schedule of events outlining how the entire show will unfold.
By Way Up NorthUpdated 13 October 2026
Welcome to Berlin!
Our second trip to Berlin begins this spring, and we're returning to one of our favourite venues ever: Babylon. When we hosted the show there back in 2023, we distinctly remember telling the team at the cinema that we'd be back one day. It felt like a second home (first home being Stockholm, of course).
If Berlin is your first Way Up North event, welcome. If you're returning for more, thank you. And to everyone, new and old, we love this and are thrilled you're part of the experience.
At the show, there's a theme that ties the event together: GOOD ENOUGH. This was chosen because it can be interpreted in wildly different ways. In Berlin, each presenter has a simple challenge when they hit the stage: interpret the theme in your presentation.
Below you'll see the schedule of events, and yes, we pack it in. Welcome to Way Up North Berlin!
Following tradition from previous Way Up North events, Canon will host styled shoots in Berlin at the stunning Schloss Friedrichsfelde, a preserved 17th-century manor house within Berlin's Tierpark.
Session Schedule:
12:00-1:20pm: Video Style Shoot for Canon Users (5 participants)
1:30-2:50pm: Style Shoot for Canon Users Only (10 participants)
3:00-4:20pm: General Style Shoot (30 participants)
4:30-5:50pm: Video Style Shoot (15 participants)
Location Details:
Venue: Schloss Friedrichsfelde
Address: Am Tierpark 125, 10319 Berlin
Transportation: Details on meetup points and transportation to the venue will be provided to registered participants
The styled shoots put the newest Canon kit in your hands, in a venue worth photographing, with something to show for it afterwards. Each session is designed to provide unique creative opportunities in both photography and videography.
IMPORTANT: These styled shoots are available by pre-registration ONLY. Access will be strictly limited to photographers who have successfully registered during the sign-up period. No on-site or walk-in registrations will be permitted. Confirmed participants will receive detailed instructions via email before the event.
When you arrive at 08:00, the doors to the building open, come in, mingle, and say hello to our sponsors. If you didn’t pick up your badge the night before, you can grab it now.
Just before 09:00, the cinema doors open, and the show begins at 09:00 sharp.
🚨 Important: You must be wearing your badge to enter the cinema, no badge, no entry.
Seating is general admission, meaning no reserved seats. There are two seating areas:
Upper balcony – 100 seats
Lower bowl – 400 seats
The event is completely sold out, and every seat will be taken, so choose wisely and get comfortable!
