Spring is dead.
Use it.

Every wedding photographer knows the feeling. January to May: nothing. You update your website. You scroll. You think about marketing but don't do it. The calendar's empty and the momentum from last season is gone.

Meanwhile,
in Sweden.

There's a cabin where the forest meets the sea and nobody else is shooting. Early spring here is moody, dramatic, and completely yours. No tourists. No crowds. No one for miles.

So we paired
the two problems.

You need portfolio work that doesn't look like everyone else's. We have a cabin, a location, and a couple ready to shoot in a Swedish forest. Three nights. One shoot. Portfolio work you can't get anywhere else.

01 / 03

What you get

This isn't a workshop. There's no classroom, no agenda, no PowerPoint about Instagram algorithms. It's three nights at a cabin and everything you need to come home with work you're proud of.

01
Elopement Shoot

A couple in wedding attire. Swedish forests and shoreline as your backdrop. We handle the locations and logistics. You shoot.

02
Location Scouting

We know this coastline. Before you arrive, we'll have the spots picked out — forests, shoreline, boathouses, open fields. You show up and shoot. No wasted time driving around guessing.

03
RAW Portfolio Report

Before you arrive, you submit your portfolio. During your stay, you get a written audit — what's working, what's holding you back, where to focus next. This feeds directly into the fireside session.

04
Fireside Brainstorm

Your RAW report on the table, a fire going, and an honest conversation about your business. Pricing, positioning, what's next. Not a generic talk — it's built around your portfolio and where you want to go.

05
Private Sauna

End every shoot day properly. The cabin has its own sauna — yours for the full stay. Swedish spring and a hot sauna is a combination that's hard to beat.

06
The Cabin

32m² of Scandinavian design in a forest beside the sea. Heated floors, floor-to-ceiling views. Two double beds. No Wi-Fi. On purpose. See the cabin

Hop Farm Beach

The cabin sits in a forest ten minutes from the sea. It was built for quiet. Heated floors, a private sauna, a kitchenette, and floor-to-ceiling windows looking into the trees.

It sleeps up to four. Two double beds, one in each room. Bring a friend, bring a partner, bring another photographer and split the cost. However you want to do it.

Red boathouse Swedish coast

Hälsingland, Sweden

The coast here doesn't photograph like anywhere else in Europe. Rocky shoreline, pine forests that run to the water's edge, red wooden boathouses, and light that shifts from gold to silver depending on the wind. In March and April, you'll get long blue hours, dramatic skies, and nobody around. Every frame looks like you've got the whole country to yourself.

Arlanda is the nearest airport. About two and a half hours north by car. Exact directions and travel tips come with your booking.

Way Up North / Hop Farm Beach

I'm a wedding photographer, I built this cabin, and I started Way Up North. The Off-Season exists because the cabin's free in spring, photographers need portfolio work in spring, and Sweden looks incredible when nobody's watching.
