Lanzarote Elopement Workshop
€795.00 +VAT
February 3 + 4. Two days. Two couples. Volcanic landscapes we’re discovering together.
Here’s what makes this different: we haven’t shot in Lanzarote before. This workshop is about demonstrating the exact process of preparing for and executing a destination you’ve never worked. From research and location scouting to delivering confidently on-site, you’ll see how to approach unfamiliar territory the way professionals do.
Lanzarote’s black sand, volcanic terrain, and architectural character offer portfolio diversity you won’t find elsewhere. The real value is learning to trust your ability to deliver anywhere, not just places you know inside out.

When & Where
February 3rd + 4th, 2026
Full transparency: we haven’t been to Lanzarote yet. This workshop is happening because we’re treating it the same way you would when a couple books you for a destination you’ve never shot before – research, preparation, and showing up ready to deliver.
We’ve spent considerable time studying the island through maps, location scouting tools, and yes, Unsplash images. Lanzarote’s volcanic landscapes, black sand beaches, and César Manrique’s architectural influence create a visually distinct backdrop that’s different from anywhere else we’ve worked. The island is small enough to cover efficiently, and February offers mild temperatures and good light without peak tourist season.
This workshop is as much about the scouting process as it is about the photography. We’ll be figuring out locations together, adapting on the fly, and showing you exactly how to approach a new destination with confidence. If you’ve ever hesitated to take on destination work because you haven’t been there before, this is the workshop that addresses that directly.
Format & Size
February 3rd + 4th will be full shooting days, working through locations we’ve identified through research and local recommendations. Expect movement between volcanic terrain, coastal areas, and architectural sites – Lanzarote’s variety is its strength.
Beyond couples photography, we’ll cover the practical side of scouting unfamiliar locations: how to research effectively, what to look for in satellite imagery, backup planning when a location doesn’t work, and building confidence in your ability to deliver regardless of prior knowledge. The business conversations will focus on pricing destination work and managing client expectations.
This is exploratory by design. We’re not pretending to be Lanzarote experts – we’re demonstrating the process of becoming one, quickly.
What We’re Shooting
This is a elopement photography workshop. One real couple per day in wedding attire – not models, just couples comfortable in front of the camera. February 3rd with one couple, February 4th with another.
If you’re building or expanding your elopement portfolio, particularly for destination work, this is structured specifically for that. The focus is couples photography in an elopement context, working with natural light and varied locations to create the kind of images that book clients.

Included / Not-included
Lanzarote Airport is well-connected with affordable transfer options to most parts of the island. We won’t be coordinating airport pickups, but transport on the island is straightforward.
We recommend staying in or around Arrecife, the island’s capital and largest town, which is close to the airport and centrally located for accessing different parts of Lanzarote efficiently.
We will provide transportation during workshop days, February 3rd and 4th, as we move between locations.
We’ll meet the evening of February 2nd to review the shooting plan and discuss our scouted locations. February 3rd and 4th are dedicated to photography from sunrise through evening light – full days of shooting and location discovery.
Accommodation is your responsibility, and workshop fees don’t include meals or drinks. We can share recommendations for accommodations in Arrecife that balance access to locations with budget considerations.
