Event Summary

Behind the scenes, surprises are always lurking. Just two weeks before the show, our host theatre was switched from Stadtkino to Gartenbaukino. The sudden change in venue didn’t deter us, as the true magic of Way Up North lies in the energy the community shares with each other. Whether at Stadtkino or Gartenbaukino, it’s all about coming together and creating unforgettable memories.

Event Theme

NO BAD DAYS

The theme for the show in Vienna 2022 was “NO BAD DAYS”, a rallying cry for creatives to shake off self-doubt and embrace the power of positivity. Presenters shared their stories of overcoming obstacles and finding inspiration in the darkest of times, inspiring attendees to reframe their own challenges as opportunities for growth.

    May 5 + 6
Inspired. Connected. Now what? It’s Monday morning and the real work begins. For ten years we’ve celebrated the beautiful stuff—the creative breakthroughs, the stunning portfolios, the moments that make you fall in love with this industry. But we’ve never dedicated an entire event to what actually makes it all possible: the unsexy stuff. The spreadsheets. The systems. The difficult conversations. The repetitive tasks that don’t get likes but build businesses that last. This year, our presenters strip away the highlight reel and show you the meat and potatoes—the boring, essential work that bridges inspiration and sustainability. It’s not glamorous. But it’s real. And it’s the answer to “now what?”
