Seven ways we make handing off an edit easy
Last of three articles from Wanderlust Videos, who are with us in València this October. The first two made the case for handing off an edit. This one is the mechanics of how it actually works.
Over ten years we’ve built the tools and the infrastructure to make working with an editing team straightforward: a client portal, built-in storage, a chat per project, pricing you can see before you commit.
Here are seven of them.
One
Build and submit your edit in a few clicks
You build the edit inside your client portal. The Project Builder walks you through it: choose PRO or LITE, pick your editing software and the films you need, then set each deliverable for duration, export resolution, colour grading and effects. Pricing updates as you go, so you know what you’re ordering and what it costs before you finalise. No emailing back and forth for a quote.
Two
Get us the footage however suits you
Upload straight to WanderDrive, our built-in storage, or share a link from Google Drive, Dropbox or wherever you already keep it. Particularly large wedding, or no appetite for uploading hundreds of gigabytes? Ship us a drive. We’ll get it into your project and cover the return postage.
Three
Every project gets its own chat
Each project has a dedicated chat in the portal where you talk to your project manager about that film. Not email, not Slack, not WhatsApp. Questions, updates, preferences, delivery dates and decisions stay attached to the project they belong to, so looking something up weeks later doesn’t mean digging through threads. With several films running at once, each one keeps its own history.

Need a teaser fast
Rush Teasers turn around in anywhere from 48 hours to a week. Tell us in advance and we’ll reserve editing capacity for your wedding date, so the moment the footage lands the team is already booked to start.

Choose how custom you want to go
Not every film needs the same treatment. Wanderlust PRO is fully custom, edited to your individual style. Wanderlust LITE is more streamlined, using one of our established styles as the creative foundation. Both give you the same workflow and the same editing team.
Six
Loyalty has its rewards
The Wanderlust Loyalty Club gives filmmakers who work with us regularly an ongoing discount. Nothing to sign up for and nothing to track. Eligibility comes from your recent activity, and your status shows in the portal.
Seven
Reserve your delivery date before the wedding
Know a wedding is coming that you want us to edit? Prebook it. We’ll plan it into the schedule and assign an editor, which reserves your delivery date before the wedding has even happened. Once the date passes we’ll remind you to finish the brief and send the footage.
Handing off an edit should cost you a few clicks, not an afternoon.
